After a World Cup break, Gambian football stars in the Norwegian First Division League will get back to action on Sunday.
Among the Gambian ball-pushers, Abdou Darboe had a successful break after wins in the NM Cup.
Abdou Darboe’s Honefoss BK 5-3 penalties win over Sarpsborg 08 was enough to send them to the 4th round in the Norwegian NM Cup on Wednesday.
Both sides drew 2-2, all the way to extra time before deciding the game on penalties at the Sarpsborg Stadium.
Abdou Darboe was benched during his side's glorious win on a lower league opponent.
HBKs victory in Sarpsborg, Wednesday night, gave them a new date on AKA Arena next week Wednesday.
HBK are anticipating playing a new quarter-final in the cup after five years since the last time they took part. Football pundits from the area are hungry for a new breakthrough.
