Speaking to The Point, the president of the Gambia Paralympics Committee, Sulayman Colley, has revealed that The Gambia will take part in the upcoming international Paralympics Championship in France, saying though The Gambia is behind due to lack of funds and materials, the country has however been recognised worldwide due to their participation in the London 2012 Paralympics competitions.
Colley said further that people have now realised the potentials they have after their participation in the previous Paralympics competitions in London.
He went on to appeal for more support to achieve their goals in sports development.
He however said they are doing this to pave the way for future generations.
In another development, members of the committee recently participated in an event that took place in Italy at an International Athletics Championship.
