Fatou Mass Jobe-Njie, Minister of Tourism and Culture, has said the launching of the Gambia Craft Market Federation is timely as it will bring about diversification and development of the tourism products.
The tourism minister was speaking recently at the Kairaba Beach Hotel where senior government officials accompanied Vice-President Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy to officially launch the federation.
According to Minister Mas Jobe-Njie, the vision of the tourism sector is also in line with the goals of PAGE - Programme for Accelerated Growth and Employment - to generate employment and improve the livelihood of Gambians, which will contribute significantly to the economic growth of this country.
