In his launching statement, the Country Manager of Gambega, Eugene Allen, said since the invention of Coca Cola on 8 May 1886, the company had been able to impact the world and improved the lives and wellbeing of billion of customers through innovative ideas, creativity and introduction of numerous products and flavour to increase their portfolio of products with the intention of meeting the ever-increasing number of customers and consumers in every part of the market.
Allen added that they recognised the fact that they would not have reached this milestone without those who love their brand.
He seized the opportunity to reiterate their firm commitment to their partnership, customers, consumers, the Government of The Gambia and the general public.
He pointed out that beside the new product innovation and creative marketing ideas, the company had also set in its corporate vision and objectives sustainability goals as part of its commitment to be good protectors of the environment.
He revealed that in The Gambia, this fact was demonstrated in the establishment of their Waste Water Treatment Plant way back in 2011 to the tune of two million dollars.
This project was the first of its kind in The Gambia, as it treats and recycle their waste water generated from the factory to make it useful for cleaning industrial or domestic, gardening fish and farming construction, he said.
Allen further revealed that the process conserves water resources, makes water supply more available and protects environment from pollution.
He said they have been also sponsoring the popular Fanta Science and Mathematics quiz competition in partnership with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and GRTS.
He applauded the government for creating an environment conducive for them to operate in The Gambia.
Marketing officer Isha Hydara hailed their customers and all who attended the launching ceremony, adding that Fanta Apple is an original product of Coca Cola Company, which is good for children and adults.
John Bass, Finance and Supply Chain Manager, said the new Fanta Apple is a product of the Coco cola company and is now available in most of the shops in The Gambia.
