Four people died in the wee hours of Saturday morning when the car in which they were travelling had an accident in Lamin, Kombo North, Western Region.
ASP Sulayman Secka, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the veracity of the story. The residents of Lamin were awoken to horrors of the fatal accident that clamed the lives of four people, including the driver of the car, one Momodou Hydara, a resident of Old Jeshwang.
The fifth victim, one Fatou Jallow, is said to be critically injured and currently admitted at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) in Banjul.
Our sources did not however, ascertain the root cause of the accident, but some analysts believed it was due to over-speeding.
