Former state witness trial continues

The trial of Saikou Gibba who was a former state witness, charged with perjury and false information continued at the Bundung Magistrates' Court with the testimony of Defence's third witness.

Testifying before the court, the third Defence witness Mr. Paul Aroma told the court that he is a computer assistant working at an Internet Café in Churchill Town.

According to him, on 7th August 2008, he was at work when Mr. Mike known as Christopher Badjie came to their internet café and told them that he wanted to use a scanner when his friend asked him to assist him.

He added that Mike then brought out one A4 size document, bearing the signature of Saikou Gibba and scanned two documents, which he saved in his email address as Mike document.

DW3 further told the court that, he did the process for Mike, who pasted the accused person's signature on the said document where the name of Saikou Gibba was written.

He explained that on 5th November 2009, Mr. Mike came to their internet café again and asked him whether he knows Saikou Gibba. In reply, he told Mr. Mike that he could recognise Saikou Gibba.

He revealed that Mr. Mike, known as Christopher Badjie went straight to the computer and deleted everything.

The case continues.
