The arrest and detention of ex-Minister Antouman Saho, ex-Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, Yankuba Drammeh, and the three sacked officials of National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDEA): Ebrima Bun Sanneh, Karamo Bojang, and Ousman (Sembeh) Sanneh, Executive Director, Deputy Director and Commissioner of Operations respectively, have been confirmed to this paper.
Family sources revealed that the three NDEA heads were taken into custody following their dismissal.
Antouman Saho was reportedly arrested on Friday 5 March 2010, while ex-Major General Yankuba Drammeh was picked up two days after his dismissal from the Gambia Armed Forces.
However, there has been no official announcement or any reason(s) given for their arrest, at the time of going to press.
