Foday Barry’s case adjourned

The theft case involving Alhagie Foday Barry, former director of intelligence and investigation at the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDEA), yesterday failed to proceed at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court before acting-Principal Dawda Jallow.

The case, which was not called in court, was scheduled for the cross-examination of the defence’s first witness, Commissioner Ebrima Jammeh, former officer commanding Holgam investigation unit.

The case was then adjourned till 30 April 2013, for cross -examination of DW1.

In a separate development the false information case involving former managing director of the Gambia Ports Authority, Abdoulie Tambedou, yesterday also failed to proceed at the same court for ruling.

The prosecution called witnesses in support of their case and at the closure of the prosecution’s case, the defence filed a no-case-to answer submission, which was set for ruling.

The case was at that juncture adjourned till 25 April 2013, for ruling.
