Fire Stone FC have maintained their unbeaten run in the ongoing Alieu Bittaye Ebotown Noran football tournament following their hard fought 2-1win over Ron Mango FC in a well-contested game played at the Park Jola in Ebotown on Saturday at 3pm.
Ron Mango FC opened the score through Babou Ceesay in the 21st minute of the game before Fire Stone levelled it through Alieu Mballow in the 65th minute cancelling out Babou Ceesay’s opener.
Striker Alieu Mballow grabbed the winner for Fire Stone in the 70th minute of the game to complete his brace, which earned Fire Stone the maximum points at the expense of Ron Mango and also maintained their unbeaten run in the tournament.
West Land Bi FC also beat West Side FC on the same score-line at the 5pm encounter on the same day.
West Land Bi’s goals were scored by Malamin Jammeh and Alpha Jallow in the 24th and 28th minutes of the game respectively, while Abdou Bah’s lone goal in the 26th minute of the game proved to be a consolation for
Earlier on Friday Sanghai FC drew goalless with Atlanta FC, while Yombayi FC beat Bhumika FC 1-0 courtesy of Lamin Touray’s strike in the 35th minute of the game, which earned Yombayi the maximum points.
