Felony case continues

The trail of one Abdou Keita, who is charged with attempting to commit felony recently continued before magistrate Nying of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court, with the testimony of the second prosecution witness, one Samba Bah.

In his testimony, the witness, Samba Bah told the court that he is a resident of London Conner, and is a businessman by profession.

He said that he recognised the accused, Abdou Keita, and could recall on 28th March 2010.

Accoding to him, on the day in question they found the accused at the complainant's house, one Safiatou Touray, where he scattered items all over the place and put the head of a cooking gas in a plastic bag.

Further testifying, the prosecution witness told the court that the accused later ran away and disappeared for a while.

"I later heard that the accused was apprehended by the police at the Bakau Car Park," he testified.

According to him, the accused was taken to Serrekunda Police Station, where his statement was recorded.

The case was adjourned to 27th May 2010 for defence.
