Fass Omar Saho FC to face Pakau Saloum FC in Late Badou Jassey Trophy semis

Group A leaders Fass Omar Saho FC will December 1, 2012 clash with group B runners-up Pakau Saloum FC in the first semifinal of the Late Badou Jassey trophy organised by Kerr Mama Sports Committee and sponsored by Baboucarr Jallow, a US-based Gambian football referee.

The revelation of the tournament and group B leaders, Bakalarr FC, will Sunday 2 December 2012 lock horns with defending champions Mass Sosseh FC of Kerr Mama Village in the second semifinal at the Alh. Gabbi Sosseh Mini Stadium in Kerr Mama Village.

Fass Omar Saho FC collected all possible nine points in the group stage to sit comfortably at the top. They are considered the favourites to win the first semifinal but they will face a stiff challenge from Pakau Saloum FC who are also yet to be defeated in the tournament.

The two teams have an interesting history and fans are giving both teams a 50-50 chance of making it to the final.

For the second semifinal, contender Bakalarr won two of their games and drew one as they comfortably top group B. They are playing beautiful-flowing football and are the favourites for many to win the trophy.

They have to conquer Mass Sosseh FC of Kerr Mama Village if they have to win the trophy. This is considered a huge task as Mass Sosseh have rediscovered their winning form after tasting defeat in their first group match.

There is huge anticipation from football lovers in the area and hopefully the teams will deliver come this weekend.

The winner will go home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of ten thousand dalasi and the runners-up will go home with a consolation prize of seven thousand dalasi.
