Falcons Football Club patronise Gunjur Zonal team

Falcons Football Club yesterday donated D5,000 to Gunjur Sports Committee for Gunjur zonal team’s participation in the 2016 FiBank-sponsored Super Nawettan.

The money was presented to the Gunjur Sports Committee by the president of Falcons Football Club, Pa Musa Gibba, at the Gunjur DayCare Centre.

Mr Gibba said the donation was part of the club’s contribution towards Gunjur zonal team’s participation in the country’s community biggest football fiesta, adding that they are expecting to donate some materials but the sports committee are yet to receive the materials.

Mr Gibba appealed to sports committee members to exercise patience, noting that “managing people is never easy”.

Mr Gibba thanked sports committee for their tireless contribution towards the development of sports in Gunjur.

Ebrima Jammeh, alias Fabou, president of Gunjur zonal team, applauded Falcons Football Club for the support, saying the support would go a long way in helping team during the Super Nawettan.

Jammeh said Falcons Football Club was the first in Gunjur to support Gunjur zonal team with cash for their participation in the Super Nawettan.

Modou Fadera, a member of Gunjur Sports Committee, said Falcons Football Club are the first club in Gunjur to donate to Gunjur zonal team with cash for their participation in the Super Nawettan.

Fadera lauded Falcons Football Club for their “tremendous contribution” for the team’s participation in the Super Nawettan.

For his part, Lamin Darboe, alias Darboe C, hailed Falcons Football Club for their “timely” support, saying the donation would aid the team in their Super Nawettan campaign.
