Ex-President Jammeh’s photographer, three others arrested

Reports reaching The Point newspaper have disclosed that Ebou Tarrou Njie, ex-president Yahya Jammeh’s photographer, a cameraman and two military officers, were yesterday morning arrested by the Senegalese security operatives at Karang, a border town near The Gambia.

They are currently in Dakar, Senegal, for interrogation.

According to sources, Ebou Tarrou Njie and three others were among the lot who travelled with ex-president Jammeh on 21 January 2017 on board the privately-owned plane to Guinea-Conakry en-route to Equatorial Guinea.

Sources disclosed that Ebou Tarrou Njie was dropped along with some other Jammeh sympathizers in Guinea-Conakry.

Following the departure of ex-president Jammeh to Equatorial Guinea, the photographer (Ebou Tarrou Njie) and the three others decided to return to their native country (The Gambia).

Meanwhile, as at the time of going to press, Ebou Tarrou Njie and the three others were still being held and questioned by the Senegalese authorities.
