The trial
of former cashier at the Gambia Ports Authority, Jahou Jammeh, was recently
adjourned till 11 February 2014, at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before
Justice Emmanuel Nkea.
The accused, Jahou Jammeh, was charged with one count of economic crime, which she denied. As a result the prosecution called witnesses to challenge her plea.
It would be recalled that the accused, Jahou Jammeh, was alleged to have caused the loss of D6 million to the economy of The Gambia while under the employment of the Gambia Ports Authority as a cashier, a charge she had since denied.
