Empty bags of flour lands man in court

One Yassin Bah, was recently arraigned before Principal Magistrate Emmanuel of the Brikama Magistrates' Court for allegedly stealing 350 empty bags of flour, a charge he denied.

According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Yassin Bah, sometime in the month of September 2009, at Brikama, without claim of rights converted 350 empty bags of flour, valued D7, 000, to his personal use without the consent of Mr. Alhagie Sallah.

The accused person was granted a court bail in the sum of D200, 000, with one Gambian surety who must have a landed property within the Greater Banjul Area.

The case was adjourned to 23rd February 2010 for hearing.
