Duplex, the well known and most talked about club in the heart of Senegambia, has cracked a new deal with a Spanish national, Enrique Zubieta Andrino, who recently entered into a partnership with the management of Duplex.
Briefing Entertainment, the new manager, Zubieta Andrino, says he wants positive changes and is looking forward to developing Duplex to higher standards.
Andrino also says the new management has come up with new development procedures in which the club will be operating, from Wednesday to Sunday, where and when different shows will be held on different days, such as comedy, traditional music, African night show, modern music, drama and other interesting shows.
For her part, Tida Joof, a member of the organizing committee of Duplex, said various shows that will be held on different nights.
These include Wednesday, to be anchored by DJ Spices with the Reggae show; Thursday is the party night, Friday the African show, Saturday the celebrity show and Sunday the Gambia artiste class show.
This schedule is subject to change or modification as and when necessary or deemed fit, depending on the upcoming programmes.
Tida added that they want to bring Gambian artistes together to compete by showcasing their talents in the process of lifting Gambian music to higher heights.
She further called on the public to come and have a great time and enjoy the facilities at the club, but she strictly advises against underage youths, who are asked to keep away from the club, “because it is meant for mature people”.
Madam Joof revealed that there will be daytime programmes for people visit Duplex to enjoy themselves.
There will also be lots of other important shows to come up in the future, she said, while calling on interested artistes as well as comedians to come on board and work together in promoting the country’s culture.
