A man called Lamin Sanyang was recently arraigned for being in possession of suspected cannabis at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court before Principal Magistrate Taiwo Ade Alagbe.
According to the particulars of the offence, on 16 July 2012, at Brufut, in the Kombo North District of the West Coast Region, the accused, Lamin Sanyang, was found in possession of 14 wraps of suspected cannabis and two bundles of suspected cannabis sativa.
When the charge sheet was read and interpreted to him in the language he claimed to understand, he denied the charge preferred against him.
The case was then adjourned till later date for continuation of hearing.
