Drug agency chief, two others dismissed

Ebrahim Bun Sanneh, Executive Director of the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDEA) together with Karamo Bojang, NDEA's Deputy Director and Ousman Sanneh the Commissioner of Operations (NDEA), were on Friday 5th March 2010 dismissed from their positions by President Yahya Jammeh, according news monitored over GRTS.

The official news release also added that the Tactical Support Unit responsible for the security in the Tourism Development Area is no longer under the Republican National Guard.

"The unit is now under the Ministry of Interior," the release stated.

The portfolio of Religious Affairs has also been placed under the Ministry of Fisheries and Water Resources, while National Assembly Matters is now under the Ministry of Forestry and Environment, the government release further stated.
