Kajaly Suno, a commercial driver was recently convicted and sentenced by Magistrate Lamin George of the Bundung Magistrates' Court to pay a court fine of D1, 500, in default to serve one year in prison.
According to the charge sheet, on 19th June 2009, at NAWEC junction, the accused drove a motor vehicle with a registration number BJL 7013 and made a U-turn without due care and attention, and thereby hit another vehicle.
He pleaded guilty and was accordingly sentenced.
