Dr Olugander speaks on Gander’s production

Gambia’s famous king of reggae, Dr Olugander, has said his Gander’s Production is operating as an NGO out to support communities through proceeds from shows they organise.

Dr Olugander was speaking in an interview with Entertainment at The point offices, where he sad the Gander’s Production has rehabilitated the toilets of Wassau Upper Basic School.

He added that his NGOs, in collaboration with Ebbeh G Youth Association, also contributes in supporting the education of needy students. “Through this project, we were able to build taps for the community of Fajikunda,” he said. “We have just completed a tour on disaster flood victims where we donated bags of rice and cooking oil at a presentation held at the Vice President’s office.”

The Gambia’s reggae king told Entertainment that he is preparing to drop another album come 2011, adding that the coming album is expected to be sponsored by Africell.

“After releasing the album, I will launch it at the Independence Stadium where I will invite international musicians,” he said.
