The fixtures of the Second Division League Championship which was initially slated to commence today has been re-scheduled for the second week of February, Pointsports has gathered.
There are 10 league teams lining up for what is expected to be an exciting and fascinating Second Division season which will commence next week in three (3) different venues. Serrrekunda East and Lamin FC will make a long journey to meet each other, at the Brikama Mini-stadium in the first week of the league season which will pave the way for promoted Banjul United and Flamenins, who will also battle it out at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
Serrekunda United and Nema United will entertain each other when they robe shoulders at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.
Relegated Bakau outfit Africell and Tallinding United will begin the campaign when they face each other at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium, while the last game of the Week One fixtures will see promoted Latrikunda United locking horns with the FA cup winners Young Africans, who has just appointed a new coach in the name of Alhaji Amat Cham from the Second Division outfit Kaira Silo, who were relegated at the end of last season after failing to impress in the Second Division.
