Alfusainey Jarju, the Director of OlympAfrica Centre at Serrekunda East recently returned home after extending invitations to Mbour, Sinjang, Binjogna and Ziguinchorr, to take part in the forthcoming international volleyball competition that will take place from 8th-12th April 2010, at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
According to Jarju, Sheikh Anta Jobe University Club and the Senegalese military team known as ASFA will all take part in the competition.
"All the teams mentioned have already accepted the invitation and promised to come and take part in the competition," said the OlympAfrica Director.
Jarju noted that the home teams that will take part in the volleyball competition are Serrekunda East, Interior, Brikama and Gambia Armed Forces.
As part of the tournament, he pointed out, there will be a one day Under 15 football tournament among Lower and Upper Basic Schools within Serrekunda East Zone on Saturday 10th April 2010, at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
He finally revealed that the four-day volleyball competition would be fully sponsored by OlympAfrica Centre, Serrekunda East.
