Gambian striker Demba Jagne has continued to make a great impact on Swedish Second Division side, Sollentuna United.
He is described a player who has guaranteed the widest smile a scorer has had on Sollentuna so far this season through his goal-scoring skills and ability to change matches in his team’s favour.
The 26-year-old forward, who won the Best Goal of the Season award with Swedish Second Division side, Sollentuna United in last year’s season, has again manifested his qualities as a gifted forward coming in as a substitute in United’s famous win recently.
The former Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) FC skipper, who has outstanding individual skills and polished techniques, as well as making dangerous runs forward, was instrument in Sollentuna United 3-0 win over Kvarnsveden to send his side on second with 14 points in the Division two table.
Substituted Demba and teammates were congratulated for coming out from under pressure in the last 20 minutes before the end of a game that could have ended in a deadlock, to collect all three points from opponents.
In one of his charges during the game, according to club’s site, Demba took the ball on air, pulling out right.
He seemed to come out of the angle, but the happy Gambian who hardly made a reputation as a van Nistelrooy in the penalty area directly, pressed the gorgeous ball back in the corner as the goalkeeper came forward to record the first goal of the game.
United also drew 0-0 at Apalby to extend their suite of six games unbeaten and in a shaky table at second place.
They will play away against Old Upsala on Saturday June 11.
