In denying the accusation levelled against him, Badjie told the court that the allegation was false and malicious.
He never knew the victim in person, he said, while denying giving any statement at the police station.
After his testimony, he was subsequently cross-examined.
The case at that juncture was adjourned till 14 November 2011, for judgment.
