Magistrate Ngube of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court yesterday ordered a defendant, Musa Bitaye, to pay the plaintiff by installment D8, 500 on 30th October and D7, 000 on 30th November 2011 for goods given to him.
The plaintiff, Jibril Kaira, told the court he supplied the defendant, Mr Bitaye, with goods on the agreement of sale and return within two months.
The plaintiff said further that the defendant was supposed to pay 50 per cent within the said two-month period, which the defendant failed to do; instead he was paying in bits amounting to D4, 800.
The defendant then pleaded to the court to be given time to provide the said amount in few months.
The plaintiff then asked him to pay him the amount he had agreed on, because it had taken him so long.
