Criminal trespass case continues

The criminal trespass case involving one Salifu Touray recently continued at the Brikama Magistrates' Court.

Testifying before the court, the prosecution witness, one Fatou Jammen told the court that she knew the accused and can recall on 24th February 2010.

According to her, on the day in question, she was at home laundering her clothes when the accused entered into the complainant's shop, one Sakou Darboe, who was at the time having his showers.

She testified that after the bath the complainant invited the accused into his house where the accused insulted him and later picked up a stone and threatened to kill him, if he should say anything.

Testifying further, the witness told the court that a man called Amfaal Sanyang, came to the scene and wanted to fight the accused, but he ran away when he heard him insulting the complainant.

She said the son of the complainant was informedĀ about the matter, who later reported the incident to Banjulinding Police Station. Subsequently, he said the accused was arrested.

The case was adjourned to 18th May 2010.
