Brikama Magistrates’ Court recently cautioned and discharged one Mustapha Sanneh, after he was convicted for escaping from lawful custody.
The facts of the case as narrated before the court stated that it happened on 16 May 2012, at Siffoe Police Station, when the convict sought escort to go and ease himself.
After being allowed to go and ease himself, he jumped over the fence and ran away, the facts revealed.
It was further stated in the facts of the case that he was later apprehended by the officers on duty, who escorted him back to the station where he was cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
The convict, who admitted the facts as narrated, begged the court to temper justice with mercy on him.
He was consequently cautioned and discharged.
