The criminal trial of an assault case involving one Yusupha Camara proceeded recently at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court before Magistrate B.O Jobe with the testimony of the complainant Abdoulie Touray.
In his testimony, the complainant Abdoulie Touray told the court that he recognised the accused and can recalled on 19th September 2009.
According to him, he works with the accused in the same place and he also brought him to his house. He informed the court that, on the day in question he was about to go to bed when he found the accused was already in the bed who started insulting him and later attacked him.
He testified further that, a fight erupted between them and during the fight the accused hit him twice on his head and as result he was bleeding. He said he was later taken to the Serekunda health centre where he was treated before making his statement at the Serekunda Police station.
The case was adjourned to 20th October 2009.
