Seck, who was speaking to reporters at a press conference shortly after his side’s 3-1 victory over The Gambia on Saturday at the Stade Demba Diop, added that beating The Gambia 2-nil will make their 3-1 home defeat sweeter for them.
He stated that even if the game had ended goalless in Dakar his side still stands a chance of progressing to the next stage of the qualifiers.
He congratulated his players for putting up a tough fight against their Gambian counterparts, saying his boys were ready for victory because they have heard negative comments prior to the game but did their response on the pitch.
Team captain Augustine O. Ndiaye said they won after dominating possession, and was happy that they had no physical problem prior or during the encounter.
They would work harder going into the return leg knowing it will be difficult, he added, saying they should not be complacent during the Banjul encounter.
