Coach Sang Ndong hails team’s performance

Despite his team’s 2-1 defeat to Brikama United in the week six fixtures of the 2012-2013 at the Brikama Mini Stadium at the weekend, the head coach of Hawks, Sang Ndong, has said he was really delighted at the performance of his team.

Speaking in an interview with this reporter shortly after the game, Coach Sang Ndong said Brikama Mini Stadium has been a difficult ground for his team in recent years.

His team, he said, was unable to deliver to expectations and as result conceded two goals.

Immediately after the lemon time, he injected several fresh legs, which happened to yield dividend, and they managed to pull back one as well as had a chance to level the score but failed to utilize their limited goal-scoring opportunities.

Ndong stated that since the start of the league his team had performed extremely well but scoring goals was a problem for them in their previous matches.

They will try to work very hard on their striking department in order to score goals and win their games to stand a chance of clinching the league title.

Coach Sang expressed optimism that his team will bounce back to their winning form and will win their games in stunning style to keep their hopes of winning the league title.
