Seedy MB Kinteh, president of The Gambia Football Association, has pointed out the enormous task ahead of Paul Put in achieving best results for the national team.

Speaking at the signingceremony, he said "We will make sure that we have a local based team at senior level "we don't have to always rely on our professional players.Coach Put will be watching our national league in order to fulfill this task"

He pointed out that Coach Put will also spearhead the national team's participations in regional competitions like WAFU, Zone II and the Qualifiers for the 2012 Olympics next year in which most of the professional players will be featured.

The GFA boss is also looking forward for the first qualification of the Senior national team in world and continental competitions and is of the belief that Coach Put can do it taking a look at the latest achievement of The Gambia in the world ranking, which was attained during the just concluded 2010 World and African Nations qualifiers.

He said the coach can also help in marketing our players and assured him of Gambians support to achieve these targets.

GFA boss said, "Africell have made it possible for the signing of the coach today by keeping Coach Put when we need him. They have played a big part in the development of Gambian football and every Gambian can attest to that".

"As we sign him today, the coach is expected to take up a very important duty which is to lead the Senior national team in an international friendly game against Gabon in Paris," he stated.
