The
community of Changai Torro in Central
River Region’s Sami District have held their culture day aimed to promote Fula
culture that reminds them of their roots. It was aimed at bringing unity and
peace within their community.
The
event gave young people the opportunity to discuss issues pertaining to the
development of their community especially education in both Madrasa and
English.
Alkalo
Abdoulie Waan thanked the people of the community for their corporation and
highlighted the importance of celebrating culture, saying it will go a long way
in maintaining peace and togetherness.
He
advised the youths to take their work seriously and be part of people who will
help to bring peace and contribute towards national development.
Habbi
Sowe and Kumba Mboh both expressed delight saying that the youths of Changai
are ready to participate in the development of their community.
