Cattle Rustler Granted D3, 000 bail

One Buba Saidy a cattle rustler was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrate Court before Magistrate Pa-Harry Jammeh and was granted D3, 000 bail with one Gambian as surety.

According to the particulars of the offence, on or about 12thSeptember 2008 at Lamin village, the accused allegedly stole one black sheep valued at D15, 000 being the property of Ali Mbye of LaminVillage.

When the charge sheet was read to the accused and interpreted in a local language he claims to understand, he pleaded not guilty.

The case was then adjourned to enable the prosecutor to bring his witness.
