The case of uttering false document and cheating involving one Ebra Faal, recently proceeded at the Brikama Magistrates' Court, presided over by Magistrate Edward Singhateh.

Testifying for the prosecution, Taibou Touray told the court that when Sulayman Tambedou came with the invoice, he (Touray) also submitted the invoice to the accused.

He said the invoice was for the purchase of 25 packets of corrugated iron sheets and ply wood timber.

Still testifying, he told the court that he the (witness) was later called by one Pa Bojang to go and bring those materials.

He said he then told the accused to go with Sulayman Tambedou and Alagie Bah to Serekunda to buy the materials.

He further adduced that when the accused returned together with Sulayman and Alagie Bah, they came with only 6 packets of corrugated iron instead of 25 packets.

“I asked the accused about the remaining 19 packets of corrugated iron, but he told me that these were the only packets that Pa Bojang gave him," he added.

"I also went to captain Baldeh and explained the matter to him and Baldeh gave me the remaining 19 packets of corrugated iron sheets with which I completed the building," he explained.

He said he asked Sulayman where the accused bought the materials and Sulayman told him they did not buy where they used to buy.

"I later gave my statement at the police," he added.

The case was then adjourned till 2 June 2011.
