Bolong Jatta, the Alkalo of Busumbla Village in Kombo North, Western Region and one Ousman Mendy were yesterday arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court on charges of conspiracy to commit felony and obtaining money by false pretence.
Both denied the charges.
The accused were granted court bail in the sum of D10, 000 each.
According to the particulars of offence, on count one, the accused persons, Mr. Jatta and Mendy sometime in 2006 and 2007, at
Count two states that, at the same time and place they obtained the sum of D5, 500 from one Mr. Nuha Ceesay on the pretext that they were going to sell a piece of land to him, when they knew that it belongs to somebody else.
The case was adjourned to 14th December 2009.
