Burglar earns three-month jail term

A man called Muhammed Susso, who admitted his criminal responsibility of store-breaking and stealing, was recently convicted and sentenced to a mandatory jail-term of three months with hard labour.

The charge sheet on count one stated that on 2 May 2011, at Serekunda Westfield, in the Kanifing Municipality, the convict, Muhammed Susso, broke and entered the store of one Kim Do Kyun with intent to commit a felony.

Count two read that having broken and entered into the store of Kim Do Kyun, Susso stole seven bottles of chemical CDF41, valued at D4,500, the property of the said Kim Do Kyun.

Magistrate Tabally of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court presided over the case.
