Martin-Mironda, a British Philanthropist who has sponsored many school projects
in U.K. and other parts of Africa over the years, has recently
donated learning materials, toys and clothing to Nyamba'llow's Nursery School
in Nemakunku. The school also benefited from a handsome donation of other
materials like reading books, pencils etc. The largest was extended to the
school by Mr. Mballow a former teacher at Latrikunda and Abuko Upper Basic
school.
The items were officially handed over at a ceremony held at the school which was facilitated through the support of the mother of the Mballow's Mrs. Ajaratou Isatou Bah - Mballow.
Receiving the items on behalf of the management of the school, Mrs. Bah expressed gratitude to the donors for their "kind gesture", describing it as timely and humanitarian. She underscored the vitality of the gesture stressing that it will go a long way in complementing government efforts in developing the country's education sector. "We will only say a resounding and big thank you for your timely gesture and promise that the equipment will be put to good use," she said.
