British High Commissioner's Golf Trophy Ends

The British High Commissioner's Shield was rescued from the trophy cupboard at the Fajara Golf Course last Saturday 20th February 2010.

His Excellency Phil Sinkinson O.B.E. was present to preside over the proceedings, which were generously sponsored by T.K. Motors.

There was an excellent turn out of over 30 Amateur Golfers with over a dozen prizes on offer.

The club lowest handicapper Peter Miller was the over-all winner in the men category with a score that would have done justice to pro. Aman Saleem, who is punching above his weight was second, while R. Crosset took third.

Sharon Mears took first in the ladies category, while Linda Larnach occupied second, and Helen Wilford came out third. The best junior prize went to John Kuo Jr.

Deputy High Commissioner Graham Birse was the winner of the nearest to the pin in the men category as was Helen Wilford in the ladies section.

The winner of the longest drive hole number 3 in the men was Aman Saleem, while that of the ladies and juniors went to John Kuo Jr.
