British couple Alison and Ed recently donated a Mercedez Benz to the Jallow family through Jarga Jallow, alias JJ the Best.
Speaking to this reporter in an interview held yesterday at The Point offices, Jarga Jallow, an official taxi driver at the BB Hotel car park in Kotu, commended the couple for their gesture and prayed for them and their family for long life and good health. He also prayed for them for more prosperity in their work.
A lot of Gambian children will benefit from the donation since he is a big family man, he says.
Mr Jallow appeals to all Gambians to welcome tourists in the country, saying that tourism is very good for the country. He also appealed to tourists to visit The Gambia as well as render assistance to Gambians.
In 2001, he said, he also received a donation of a car from a British man called Kit Beston.
Jallow also commended President Yahya Jammeh for creating the enabling environment for tourism to flourish in The Gambia.
