West Coast Region giants Brikama United will tomorrow lock horns with Bakau United in the quarterfinal of the ongoing FA Cup competition of The Gambia Football Association (GFA) at the Box Bar mini-Stadium in Brikama.
The West Coast giants booked their ticket to the quarterfinal following their 4-3 win over Bakau giant killers Steve Biko, on post-match penalty shootout, after a 1-1 draw in the regular time.
Telecommunications boys Gamtel will battle it out with city boys Real de Banjul in the other quarterfinal game at the Serrekunda East mini-Stadium.
Gamtel beat 2008-09 league champions Armed Forces 1-0 in the second round of the FA Cup, which earned them a place in the quarterfinal.
They were the runners up of last year’s FA Cup competition after losing to Young Africans in the final on post-match penalty shootout at the Serrekunda East mini-Stadium.
Real de Banjul on the other hand have progressed to the quarterfinal following their 4-3 penalty shootout win over archrivals Wallidan after a stalemate result.
