Brikama on Tuesday beat Banjul 5-4 on post-match penalty shootout to complete the lineup for the semifinals of the ongoing 2013 Skye Bank Gambia Limited-sponsored Super Nawettan zonal football competition.

Manjai on Monday defeated Bakau 5-4 on penalties in the third quarterfinal to progress to the semi-final in the 2013 Skye Bank Gambia Limited-sponsored Super Nawettan zonal football competition.

The game, played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, showed both sides launch serious assaults at each other but the regulation time failed to produce a winner.

This pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout which ended 5-4 in favour of Manjai, and the victory has placed Manjai in the semi-final, after Serrekunda West and Serrekunda East both booked their places in the semi-final after beating Serrekunda Central and Sukuta respectively in their quarterfinal games at the weekend.

In the other quarterfinal scores, Serrekunda West thrashed Serrekunda Central 3-0 in the first quarterfinal game played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda on Saturday, with goals from Yaya Ndong and Lamin Chatty with a brace.

Serrekunda East beat Sukuta 3-1 on penalties to progress to the semi-final after goalless draw in the regulation time in the second quarterfinal game played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Meanwhile, Serrekunda West will take on Manjai in the first semifinal encounter to be played today, Thursday, while Serrekunda East will face Brikama in the other semifinal game to be played tomorrow Friday.
