Bremen Border beat Saul Samba in Bakau knock-out

Bremen Border on Saturday defeated Saul Samba 1-0 at the Bakau Mini Stadium to progress to the second round in the ongoing Bakau knock-out competition.

Border’s only goal came in the 15th minute of the game through Baboucarr Jammeh from the penalty spot, after Ousman was brought down inside Saul Samba’s eighteen yards box to give his side the lead, which eventually proved to be the winner.

Saul Samba, a household name in Bakau, responded for an equalizer but to no available and the game ended 1-0 in favour of Border, which is vying for a double in Bakau’s Nawetan.

Senior Lions beat Luneburg on the same scoreline to make it to the second round.

Kachikally United thumped Fajara Barracks 2-0 to advance to the second round with goals from Ba Sainey Pa boy Kujabi.

Vidar defeated Linguere 4-2 on penalties, after regulation failed to produce a winner, while Saudi Arabia also defeated Kansala 4-3 on penalties, after regulation time failed to produce a winner.
