Dawda Fatty, a former player and native of Brikama, recently donated three trophies to the Brikama Youth and Sports Committee (BYSC).
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the Brikama Box Mini-stadium, Dawda Fatty said the donation was part of his contribution towards the development of sport in Brikama, adding that he is really impressed with the level of football in Brikama as the sports committee has achieved some of its desired results.
He applauded the BYSC for their contribution towards the development of sports in Brikama and expressed his readiness in supporting the BYSC “all the time” whenever the need arises.
Mr Fatty stated that he is really impressed with the level of football in Brikama, while urging the committee to continue rendering more support to uplift sport, particular football, in the town.
Receiving the donated items, the president of the BYSC, Basiru Bayo, hailed Dawda Fatty for his “tremendous gesture”, adding that the donated items would go a long way in helping and developing football in Brikama.
He also assured him that the donated items would be put into good use.
