Black Panthers FC will clash with Central FC in the 2011 Gunjur Junior League final after winning their semi-final ties recently at the Gunjur playground.
Black Panthers FC progressed to the final following a 4-3 win over Young Gamcel FC on post-match penalties in the semifinal game, after a 1-1 draw in the normal time.
The tightly contested game produced few goal-scoring opportunities. Young Gamcel FC opened the score sheet in the 23rd minute of the game through striker Sedia Barrow and in the 30th minute Young Gamcel FC had an opportunity to extend their lead when Sedia Barrow missed a penalty. Buba Janneh levelled the score in the dying minute of the game from a brilliant header to make it 1-1.
Earlier, Central Gunjur FC sailed to the final following their 5-4 victory over Sunderland FCalso on post-match penalty shootout, after a 1-1 draw in the regular time.
Meanwhile, the Saamasang sponsored Kombo Central District sports committee football tournament continues to produce spectacular encounters.
Dimbayaa, who are 3rd in group B, drew goalless with Dasilami in a recent encounter.
Bafuloto were also held to a 1-1 draw by Jamuwel in group C at the Kembujeh playing field
In group D, the clash between Bururanding and Jalabang also ended in a deadlock.
