BJ Academy, Ebbeh Gi navigate to SK East knockout 2nd round

BJ Academy, Ebbeh Gi are through to the second round in the ongoing Serrekunda East knockout competition after winning their games played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

BJ Academy beat Juventus 5-3 on penalties to advance to the second round in Serrekunda East knockout competition following their goalless in the regulation time.

Ebbeh Gi defeated United Stars 4-3 on penalties, after their 1-1 draw in the regulation time on the same day.

United Stars opened the scores through Pap Sallah in the 14th minute of the game, after capitalizing on United Star’s defensive blunder, to fire home the opener.

Ebbeh Gi responded back and levelled the scores through Ismaila Badjie in the 51st minute of the game to make it 1-1.

This pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout, which ended 4-3 in favour of Ebbeh GI.

United Stars finished the game with ten men after Gingally, who received a second yellow card in the game, was sent off before break.
