Moroccan premier league side CAK on Tuesday beat the Gambia national team 1-0 in an international friendly played in Rabat, Morocco.

The international friendly match was part of the Scorpions’ preparations for their final 2017 Africa Cup of Nations group tie against Cameroon on Saturday 3 September 2016, at the Omni Sports Stadium in Limbe at 3pm local time.

The Moroccan premier league side emerged victorious after netting a single to beat The Gambia in an international friendly game. CAK are currently occupying eighth place in the Moroccan premier league.

The Gambia are currently rooted bottom in group M of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with only two points in five outings after drawing two games against South Africa and Mauritania.

After losing to Cameroon, Mauritania and South Africa 1-0, 2-1 and 4-0 respectively in the qualifiers, The Gambia will be playing for revenge against the Indomitable Lions to improve their ranking. The Scorpions lost to Cameroon 1-0 in the first leg in Banjul last year.
