Steve Biko's performances in recent times is showing no sign of abating, as they continued to register embarrassing performance in the GFA First Division League campaign with an unconvincing 3-nil loss to in-form Real De Banjul at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium on Wednesday.
Goals from Mbemba Colley, Muhammed Conateh and Lamin Drammeh in the 39th 55th and 79th minutes were enough to give the former champions a convincing 3-nil win at the expense of Biko.
The Bakau Giant Killers, despite recovering from a disappointing goalless draw against Interior to enjoy a 2-nil win over Samger last week, Biko's performance this season has not been consistent even though they still managed to secure a place within the top five in the league with a massive 11 points adrift of leaders GPA.
They have not had their best performance of the night and in the process went home with a massive 3 goals disadvantage, sitting fifth place in the league table with 24 points with only 6 games remaining in the race to claim the title.
The defeat against the capital club Real De Banjul, who moved to 6 places after 3 straight wins, is likely to end Biko’s hope of winning their first league title.
"Tactically, the players were indisciplined today and Real deserved the maximum points."
"We hope to discuss the issue when we resume training to see how best we can be able to put the disappointing 3-nil defeat behind us and focus on the games ahead," these were the words of Abdoulie Bojang, who spoke to crowded journalists, shortly after addressing his players after a disappointing performance against Real De Banjul.
