B. B. Rovers FC have advanced to the next stage of the ongoing Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Knockout competition following their 4-3 penalty shootout win over United Stars FC on Saturday at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium after drawing goalless on regulation time.
Both teams went all out for a win during the game, creating a number of goal-scoring opportunities but could not capitalise on them, thus the game ended 0-0 resulting to a penalty shootout which went 4-3 in favour of B. B. Rovers.
Goalkeeper Ousman Suno was the hero for B. B. Rovers during the stiff encounter after saving one spot kick and stepping up to convert the final kick for his side.
However, both teams are out of the league competition, with B. B. Rovers relegated from the league after just managing a single point in 3 games.
