This, according to the committee, was totally unacceptable and against all tenets of fair play. As such, by bringing the game into disrepute both teams behaviour was unruly, especially Makann Bi, who were the cause and main culprit of the violence.

Saihou Joof of Makann Bi, who was also instrumental, is suspended for the rest of the nawetaan.

Lamin Ceesay, coach of Makann Bi, who assaulted a committee member, has been  banned from coaching in the Nawetaan for the rest of the Committee’s term in office and fined D1,000 (one thousand dalasi). He is also not to enter the dressing room and stand behind the bench.

Digi Dambi was fined D500 (five hundred dalasi) for Baboucarr Savage’s climbing of the chain link fence (perimeter fence). Nuha Betts of Digi Dambi is suspended for the rest of the 2012 Nawetaan for kicking the entrance gate when shown a red card and attacking the Miami players, which has no bearing on the match.
