Ball Conge FC booked their ticket to the final of the 2009 Global Properties sponsored Serrekunda East League Championship Tournament following their slander narrow 4-2 victory over Eden Boarder FC in Tuesday?s first semi- final game.
It was a horse race encounter in which both teams put up solid performances but failed to break the deadlock until the game ended 0-0. The game went into a penalty shoot-out in favour of Ball Conge.
Speaking to Pointsport shortly after the game, delighted Papa Sarr Corr, the Head Coach of Ball Conge FC, said it was not an easy road to cross. He expressed optimism that his team would clinch this year's Serrekunda East league title.
According to him, Eden Boarder FC is a side to be reckoned with in this year?s Serrekunda East Nawettan Championship. He noted that beating them in the semi-final was a plus to his team.
